Here's the current Jamstix beta (1891). Use at your own risk. Any feedback is greatly appreciated as it helps us shake out the bugs!

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE JAMSTIX 1.81 INSTALLED. RENAME YOUR CURRENT JAMSTIX.DLL FOR EASY REVERSAL AND THEN COPY THE BETA DLL IN ITS PLACE.

Note: if you received a personal downloads page from Rayzoon use the 'Jamstix Beta' link on that page.

  • fixed kick/crash on beat 1 in muted bars under certain circumstances
  • fixed delay when loading an internal sound mapping while the current one is still loading

The current beta does not load in Nuendo 3.2 (Win XP). As soon as I install the latest official updater (1.81) I can work with Jamstix in Nuendo again.

What makes me wonder is that the new beta DLL is almost 200kB smaller than the latest update v1.81. Is that correct?

Best regards,
Sven

Yep, now it is working as expected, thanks !

BTW, the "About" info screen still shows "Copyright 2002-2006".

Best regards,
Sven

Ralph, is Vista support coming back anytime soon ? I know you were struggeling with some 3rd party code, but haven't heard anything new about the issue.

Thanks,

Jamstix should work fine in Vista if you disable user account control in Vista.
Here is more info on how to do that:
http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsVista/en/library/0d75f774-8514-4c9e-ac08-4c21f5c6c2d91033.mspx?mfr=true

As far as the 3rd party code goes, we're still working on that...

Thanks for the heads up. As far as UAC is concerned I prefer to not disable it. I rather wait till you solved the problem.

Cheers,

Bug report:

Keyboard jam -
1. Selecting lock does not lock velocity position.
2. Selecting another controller for input doesn't work.

Feature request: Allow midi note off to turn off toggled key commands in addition to low velocity (user selectable). Intelligently handling the sustain pedal too would be a major plus.

Hello, I downloaded the beta using the ID and password found in the link sent via email when I first got jamstix.

The beta page says:

"Users who ordered on or after 1/4/07 can use their 'Rayzoon Downloads' link to download the Beta."

I ordered recently but I don't know where is this 'Raysoon Downloads'.

Is there a user page where this download is suppose to be? The beta is not on the download link sent via email.

Willy.

Please refresh your download page in your browser. The update and beta downloads should now be visible on it.
