Using freejam, i pick a rhythm and load it on the first line in the arrangement tab. i hit play and jamstix plays the first rhythm on the first bar, but then the 2nd bar jamstix plays the next line down, (i didnt load a rhythm on that line), then the 3rd bar goes back to the first line, 4th bar goes down, and that pattern keeps repeating.......
i am probably overlooking something, but how do you get jamstix to freejam and play the same rhythm the whole time, without me having to load the rhythm i like on every line in the arrangement tab.
Thanks! |

What you want to use is 'Manual Jam'. With that mode, Jamstix will not change the rhythm unless you manually tell it to via the arranger.
In 'Free Jam', Jamstix creates rhythms and issues rhythm changes at its own discretion. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Oh duh. For some reason I got it stuck in my head that I needed to be in Freejam for jamstix to jam with audio. |

Ralph,..i kind a have the same doubt here,...in FREE jam mode, the engine plays random rhythms based on the styles loaded to each bar in the arranger window..
and in MANUAL mode,it does exactly what?...
Thanks!

The jam modes are described in the PDF manual in Section 4. Let me know if you need further info.
Concerning your 8-bar pattern: use Free Jam with 'Jam With MIDI' and feed just the piano data to Jamstix (not the bass or drums). _________________ Ralph Zeuner
