|
|
Hey guys. I'm a long time owner of JamStix but have only just got into actually using it. I've done a lot of searching on this forum and haven't found exactly what I'm looking for.
Can I use JamStix in Free Jam, and have it create the MIDI data for what it played? Also, could I then use that MIDI data to be the input for JamStix when I record? If so, how would I do that?
Thanks.

In the output tab make sure you have enabled Midi Output (under options).
You can then record the output of your Jamstix track as Midi data and go from there later. |

Thanks. So no MIDI data unless you record the jam, right? |

You either must record the MIDI data coming out from Jamstix as it plays in your host or you can use the 'Export MID File' button in the arranger to get a MID file of your performance that you can then import into the host.
In either case, playback of recorded or imported MIDI drum data requires you to set Jamstix to 'Manual Jam' with 'Play Input' and 'Mute Brain' checked. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
