hi ralph
things seem to be getting worse in ableton 4.1.1 land, or is it just me ?
previous Jamstix versions ran fine but were very unhappy when chasing external midi clock.
now with version G whenever i try and open the Jamstix gui for the first time Ableton just closes and my Motu 828II stops functioning until a reboot.
obviously if no-one else is suffering this then its my set-up thats to blame, be good to know for sure though.
any suggestions ralph ?
cheers

It's working fine here with the 4.1 demo. Anyone else have problems? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

looks like it must be me then...
but i noticed that the problem seems to occur when adding jamstix to a pre-existing ableton track. Its ok when you start a track with Jamstix though.
anyone else having problems with Jamstix following midi sync in Ableton ?

I just opened the 'Making music with Live' demo and added Jamstix to the existing 'Beats' track without problems.
Please try Jamstix X2-5 as it may make a difference:

ok so i wasn't going completely bonkers.
the problem is my newly purchased pluggo 3.5 .
jamstix and pluggo just don't get along. load a pluggo vst into an ableton tune containing jamstix and everything is fine until you try and open the jamstix gui....and kapow.
anychance of a fix as i'm eager to use my two new toys together ?
cheers

Thanks for the compliments but it was really just extending a fix we developed for a similar problem with Waves plugins. That fix was limited to Cubase (because we thought the issue was tied to that host). Your error description just made that bell ring in my head, that's all.
Will take you up on that beer, though _________________ Ralph Zeuner
