You bought in October 06 so you are eligible for the free upgrade. You will receive a e-mail notification when JS2 is released. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

The problem with any software (but especially when its quite innovative) is that release dates are nearly impossible to predict. Just look at the Groove Agent 3 multi-month delay and that software is much closer to its predecessor than JS2 is to JS1 (AFAIK).
My current estimate is April for the JS2 release. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

OH BOY - So that means that there is no doubt that a "Max" model will be at the top of (close to the top of) the list!!! - Right? |

Follow these steps for an example:
- make sure you have Jamstix 1.71 (check ABOUT box)
- go to the Jamstix mapping tab and change Outputs from 4 to 5.
- close host project and open a new one
- add Jamstix, go to the mapping tab and load an internal mapping of your choice (not Close Stereo though)
- select 'Snare' and change the output slider at the bottom to 2
- select 'Tom 1' and change the output slider at the bottom to 3 (all other toms will follow automatically)
- select 'HiHat Closed' and change the output slider at the bottom to 5
- select 'Crash 1' and change the output slider at the bottom to 5 (you may have to repeat this for the other cymbals)
- check the box 'Amb To 4' in the ambience panel of the output tab
You now have the sounds spread over 4 outputs and the room mics going to output #4.
You can also control per-sound room mic levels by selecting sounds in the mapping tab and then changing the 'Ambience' slider for them. |
Hi Ray! - Will this also work with Beta Demo 1878? |

| The Jstx drums are obviousy all tweakable through the output view and further with the various plug-ins on the market. Are there any plans to offer preset EQ's for the various kits for that ready to listen to straight out of the box sound? I do like the ease with which EZD just drops into a track with minimal messing about and sounds great. To all the purists out there this may sound a little lazy on my part, i know all the kits come with their different respective nuances etc. |

What we call a 'mapping' in Jamstix 1 is now being called a 'kit' in Jamstix 2.
A 'kit' contains internal sound information just like a 'mapping' but it also contains all mixer information, including the new EQs. This means that you can load/save kits with various EQ and compression settings. You will have the option to exclude the mixer when loading a kit so that you can preserve a specific mixer state when desired.
We've worked hard on making everything much more flexible in JS2 and also very expandible as we move forward. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
