|
|
I'm in Ableton Live 6 and have looked around the forums for a solution.
I can't for the life of me make JS work with Battery 3. It won't play in either "external plugin" mode nor with the midi out only option.
Battery 3 just sits there doing nothing. Internal JS sounds work fine.
There was a mention of Battery 3 mappings somewhere but there are none in my installation...I have JS 1.71 and I am now running the 1880 beta.
This is driving me nuts...I need help. _________________ Science for everyone |

Beta 1880 and Battery 3 work great together. Please make sure Jamstix says '1880' in the About tab and also tell me your exact Battery version.
I'll see about getting you a mapping file to make things easier. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

That mapping works when I use Battery internally. I guess I'll have to read up on how mappings are made!
It says "BETA 1880" in the About screen.
Battery is version 3.01.005.
I also managed to get it to work with Midi out. _________________ Science for everyone |

Glad it's working now. You can use the mapping I sent to easily derive new ones for other B3 kits. Just load the mapping, click 'Configure' in the Jamstix mapping tab to open the B3 GUI and select a new kit. Make adjustments as needed and then save in Jamstix to a new mapping.
Also, the mapping I sent uses the B3 soul kit without further volume adjustments. I find the volume balances in that kit quite skewed and would recommend lowering hihat and ride volumes to make this kit sound better. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
