I finally got all the packages to downloaded and was able to install it and all the extra packages but now when I launch Sonar 6PE I get the 30 missing files page. I recopied the addons and tried to reinstall the data files (from step #3). The data files install would only allow me to modify it and I still got the 30 files missing message. I then uninstalled the base dll and the data files via add remove programs and deleted the jamstix dir.
I was able to then sucessfully install the base dll in D:\Cakewalk Projects\VstPlugins\jamstix. Now when I try to install the data files it errors out trying to create D:\Cakewalk Projects\VstPlugins. I tried to make the VstPlugins dir lower case when specifying the location to install into but it still errors out with a cannot create dir message. I'm pretty sure the file system is NTFS but I will check when I get home.
Is there a FAQ on how to completely remove and reinstall jamstix and all it's addons? Do I need to search and destroy any jamstix registry entries after uninstalling and deleting the files.
When installing should I get the base pacakges installed and registered before installing and registering each addon?
Man this is painfull and I'm so jonesing to jam with this thing! Please help! |

The 'cannot create directory' error is very odd. Please do this:
Run the jamstix_data_setup.exe again and specify a different directory. Let's say 'c:\jsdata'. If it does install fine then you just need to move the resulting files in c:\jsdata\samples' to 'D:\Cakewalk Projects\VstPlugins\jamstix\samples' and you're all set. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Here are the possible reasons:
Missing Or Incorrect Sound Installation
You may have forgotten to perform Step 3 of the Jamstix installation (Drum Sample Download). Please refer to your Jamstix delivery for this step and perform it. Make sure to point the installer to the exact same place as you did with the Jamstix plugin installation. You may also have installed the Jamstix sounds in the wrong place. They must be installed to the exact same place as the Jamstix plugin. You can search your computer for folders named "samples". If you find any outside of your Jamstix folder, copy their contents to the "samples" subfolder of your Jamstix folder to fix this problem.
Missing Expansion Pak
The sound may be part of an expansion Pak that you do not have installed.

Please run the 'Jamstix Update' from your download page. It will fix this problem. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
