Hey guys...just call me ole faithful with the questions. I'm trying to figure out where I've messed something up, maybe you can help.
When I'm trying to use Freejam, the program isn't responding to velocity changes in my playing. I'm using a keyboard (and midi naturally). I've played with the min and max velocity and I'm stumped. Even if I move the "big" velocity slider to the middle (so when I press play it starts nice and quiet), the minute I hit a note it goes straight to the far right (max) and stays put...even if I play VERY softly.
I'm sure I've messed up something somewhere but I cannot find it. If you have any ideas I'd appreciate it greatly.
I'm only on day 3 of this, but I am going to LOVE this program....I feel like I stole it for what I paid!
Thanks

Hi Geddins, I'm also a newb in here and was having the exact same problem as yours. You need to adjust the dark grey knob down the bottom right hand corner of JS. Start by bringing it down to about 12 o'clock, then tweak it from there.
Good Luck !

BINGO Quicksound! I've been all around that and just never had the combo worked out....now JS is responding to MY dynamics...and it's GREAT!
Thanks my down-under brother!

Gary, when you get a chance look at the 'Free Jam Quick Start' PDF in the Jamstix manual folder, which has more detail on how to trim to achieve a sweet spot that fits your play style best.
It basically comes down to the input velocity map in the mapping tab. Right-click on it and load the 'Wide' curve from the mappings folder as an example. This allows you to have Jamstix hold a narrower velocity range throughout your normal play volume. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Don't know if you actually meant Gary, or Greg Ralph...but I've downloaded the PDF and see there's good info on there!
Thanks!
