Is there a way to adjust the intensity level that jamstix reads before it goes to 'power play'??? I am playing guitar with a pick for the first time in a while, and I'm not even playing that hard before jamstix goes into power play. and the same goes for when i'm playing soft.....for example, what i have set in my head as 'soft' playing(requiring maybe use of a sidestick hit, instead of regular snare hit) is not the same as what jamstix thinks. I dunno, it may be asking alot, but just curious if theres a way to tell jamstix what level to play sidestick and what level to power play....
THanks! |

Go to the Jam Tab and play with the POWER SENSITIVITY, MIN VELOCITYand MAX VELOCITY levels. That should help you to adjust JS to your playing. |

There is also the document 'Free Jam Quick Start' PDF in your Jamstix manuals folder that discusses audio trimming in more detail.
In additionj to what Doc said, I recommend for you to:
1) Adjust the input trim knob next to the 'Jam With Audio' button so that your loudest play just triggers Power Play.
2) Go to the mapping tab, right-click on input velocity map and choose 'Load Map' and load 'Wide Higher' from the mappings folder.
This will give you a nice 'sweet spot' for the whole mid level velocity range.
You can then experiment with the curve as needed. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
