Need help with dll... I am using BFD as drum sounds thru Jamstix.
When I go into mappings on JS I choose ext drums and go to where the dll's are stored in my cubase VST folder and select BFD stereo dll or BFD Group dll and all works fine...but if I choose BFD ALL dll... I will get all drum pieces showing up on my cubase as seperate tracks but NO Sound.
Could the dll be bad ? Or is there a setting Im not reading about ?
Thanks |

In the Jamstix output tab you have to select enough outputs to get the full BFD going. I don´t have BFD (only DFHS) so I don´t know how many that would be.
You have to close an re-open Jamstix for the changes to take effect. |

I have done that step...for instance if the drum kit in bfd has 7 pieces I select 7 outputs in jamstix... and when I load that into cubase it does give me all 7 tracks in my project just as it does if I were to have selected bfd group and got 4 tracks or bfd stereo and got 2 tracks in cubase. The problem is that if I choose the stereo dll or the group dll I get the input into cubase just fine, however if I choose the ALL dll, I will get the tracks but no sound input is recieved.
Is a setting off somewhere or is this dll possibly bad ?
Help ! Please ! |

Not sure what the problem could be but here's a work-around:
- load 'BFD All' into Cubase, not Jamstix
- in Jamstix, go to the mapping tab, check 'MIDI Out Only' and load the BFD All mapping.
- add a MIDI track to Cubase with input=Jamstix and output=BFD All
This will make Jamstix drive BFD All via MIDI versus subhosting. This will also allow Jamstix to run with 4 outputs only. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Im confused by the last sentence....by using this workaround, will I have all outputs to eq or effect in cubase or just four outputs ? |

You will actually have a bit more flexibility as all output handling is now between Cubase and BFD alone, Jamstix is out of that loop. All Jamstix does in this configuration is sending MIDI signals to the BFD instance. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
