I have a project all laid out with one particular rhythm, but I now want to experiment with other rhythms to see if I like anything better.....

So I have the song stopped at the begining of the song, i go to load a new rhythm, I click the musical note to hear some previews, but no matter what rhythm I choose, the intro I've already had on my song keeps repeating. I cant preview anything else.

When previewing you will see Jamstix cycle the same bar over and over (bar display). Does that specific bar have an intro or fill on it?

yes, since it was the beginning, there was an intro on the first bar, and thats what keeps repeating.

Jamstix will play the intro during previewing if so you need to go to another bar of the rhythm that has no intro or fill to preview it.

Is there a way to do this while choosing groups of rhythms?

I'm using mostly keyword jam. There's a huge list of potential rhythms to pick from - is there a way to preview them before committing them to the picked list? (I'm talking about the page that has the add/subtract arrows with the list of available rhythms on the left and the list of the groups of rhythms picked on the right with the two arrows in circles in the vertical bar between them).

So, is there a way for Jamstix to run through the available rhythms in a group before picking them for use in Keyword mode? For example, I want to hear what 'Graf Zeppelin' might sound like in all it's flavors, what is the best way to try it out first before picking it and having it populate the arrangement screen?

It's a good idea but too involved at this stage. We may revisit this after JS2 is released.
