I'm just about to set up my new DAW with a Core 2 Duo e6300 and Cubase 4.
I am aware that there is a hotfix for XP with SP2 being used with multiprocessors.
Can anyone tell me if this is necessary? Should i go ahead and install - or only if i have a problem? Can anyone out there tell me your experience with Core 2 Duo processors without the hotfix? With the hotfix?
Feedback is appreciated,
Geoff |

You should definitely go & get it. For example without it the CPU-meter in Cubase constantly jumps from left to right. I got the recommendation to apply the Hot Fix from another C2D user in the Cubase forum. So far no issues with it...
