Here's the current Jamstix beta. Use at your own risk. Any feedback is greatly appreciated as it helps us shake out the bugs!
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE JAMSTIX 1.71 INSTALLED. RENAME YOUR CURRENT JAMSTIX.DLL FOR EASY REVERSAL AND THEN RUN THE BETA UPDATER.
If you ordered Jamstix on or after 1/4/07, please use the 'Rayzoon Downloads' link of your delivery mail to get the Beta.
Download Beta 1880 (Use ID and password that came with your Jamstix delivery)
Beta #1880
- Jamstix is now compatible with Windows Vista
- fixed false MIDI feedback loop alarms in FL Studio 7 under certain circumstances
Beta #1878
- sample loading is now multi-threaded so it no longer blocks audio thread or the GUI
- added several mappings and snare L/R support for XLNAudio 'Addictive Drums'
- added several mappings and snare L/R support for 'EZDrummer'
- missing sounds no longer produce a prompt but are still written to file 'missing_sounds.html'
Beta #1875
- more fixes for the 'child window cannot have menus' interface creation error
- fixed bug introduced in last beta that caused subhosted DFHS not to function correctly
Beta #1871
- added MIDI buffer reset to 'Clear All' to avoid ghost events in MIDI file exports under certain cirumstances
- fixed 'child window cannot have menus' interface creation error under certain circumstances
Beta #1867

- fixed problems with free jam arrangement sometimes changing on replay
- Jamstix is now compatible with DEP (Data Execution Prevention) in Windows XP SP2
- fixed problem with sidestick falling silent when previewing rhythms
- fixed problem with arranger refresh in Cakewalk hosts when clicking 'Clear All'

I now have two sets of download keys - and neither of them work!
How do I download this beta? _________________ Graeme

It's the set in your Jamstix delivery mail.
If you still can't get it to work, PM or e-mail me your name/e-mail and I'll help you further. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

hi there!
have occasionally been getting the same error message in Reaper when i boot it up with Jamstix in my template, it usually only does it when i leave the "Add FX" window open... have just been making sure i close the window anyway, as i figure that no host/vsti combinations are ever going to be completely problem free!
anyhoo just thought i'd let you know this isn't just happening with Nuendo! |

Probaby a stupid question but I don't understand what ya mean by this.
RENAME YOUR CURRENT JAMSTIX.DLL FOR EASY REVERSAL AND THEN PLACE THE DLL IN THIS ARCHIVE IN ITS PLACE. |

In the VST/Jamstix folder is the original jamstix.dll.
I just right on that file, and select rename. I just add my initials after the dll.
Then copy and paste or move the new jamstix.dll to the same folder.
If you need to go back to the original, just reverse the operation.
I hope this helps _________________ john-studio64

hey ibanezlover,
basically it just means that you rename the jamstix.dll file currently in your 'vst plugins' folder to something like jamsticks.bak, so that when you place the beta dll into the same folder, it doesn't replace the 1.71 file.
then, if you have problems with the new beta, you can easily delete the new dll that you just installed, rename jamsticks.bak (or whatever you called it) back to jamstix.dll, and no harm has been done! (oh and tell Ralph what happened!)
if you have no problems just keep playing with the beta
hope i could help out a fellow ibanez fan, all my geets and bass are ibanez |
