this program is the tops i've been far more creative in the past few months than i have in the last 15 years. i would now like to have jamstix trigger the sounds in battery, been trying to figure this one out for the past few nights my brain hurts which means it's probably an easy thing to do and i just couldn't see the wood for the trees.

thanks

If you have Battery 2 then a good starting point may be the B2 mapping provided by Steve B, available here:
http://www.rayzoon.com/jamstix_dlds.html

If you have B3 then go to the mapping tab, click 'External VSTi', select your battery3.dll and then load the desired kit into the appearing B3. You now have to match the 'Key' for each sound in the mapping tab with the B3 layout. Simply walk through the sound list in the mapping tab, select the proper key and use audit to verify each sound (make sure 'Map GM Input' is NOT checked). Once finished, save the mapping and it is ready for current and future use.

thanks for the info ralph but it's still clear as mud to me. do i load the battery 3 dll and then select configure in jamstix to bring up the battery interface? once i've done that i load sample (a closed h hat) and put
the sample in the key range f#1/f#1. when i go back to jamstix, the closedhhat is on f#1 but when i press audition i get either a delayed
sound or nothing at all.

cheers

Are you using Battery 3.0.1? If so, there's a problem with MIDI interchange between Jamstix and that specific version of Battery 3. We will have an official fix in the next update in a few days.
