|
|
| everything was working just fine, and i downloaded version 1.02G, and it worked with an existing project open--but a little while later i started up cubase again and when i loaded jamstix, it said invalid pointer operation--whatever that means --but i closed the message and tried to see if it would work anyway-- and when i tried to insert a fill, the list of fills was blank, and when i closed the list, on the bottom of screen it said something like "ui update error access something obb" --i tried to close everything down and reload, but to no avail--then i tried to replace jamstix.dll with earlier update versions, but nothing helps--so then i thought to myself, there's only one person who can fix this--thanks in advance for your time and patience |

Are you loading an existing project with Jamstix into Cubase or does this happen with a new project from scratch? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

this is happening when i load up a new project --do u think i should reinstall?
Also, before this error i had a separate problem-- when i performed an audio export/mixdown, the timing in the jamstix track was off at the beginning--the intro was messed up-- i tried this many ways--only worked by exporting to midi, closing jamstix, playing midi track with bfd
btw, the problems i had with the configure window have seem to have disappeared, so that's good--except now i have bigger problems, he he |

If you still have the issue with 1.02H, please try this version. Also, should you get an error in the black status box underneath the velocity slider, let me know what it said this time.

| 1.02h did the same thing (after loading, before the jamstix window opened i got a message saying "invalid pointer operation"-- then when i press fill or intro or ending it says ui update error (access violation at obb)--then when i tried the latest update, instead it said on the bottom FIE update UI update error (access violation ---and the rest is cut off and i'm not sure how to read the rest of the error message |

Sammy,
We know now that the problem is the 'invalid pointer' which occurs during the load of the fill data. The UI error you get later on is just a result of this. We can't duplicate the problem so we need you to help us squash this bug.
Please use this Build:
http://66.235.201.50/updates/jamstixX2-3.zip
It won't fix it but it should present you with a new error message during the data load. Please tell me what it says or send a screenshot of it to support@rayzoon.com
Much appreciate your help! _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| it had the same error message as last time--fie error ui update, etc.-- only difference was there was no invalid pointer operation message before the jamstix window appeared--i got excited for a second, maybe it's gonna work (i know u told me this wouldn't fix the problem, but hey, u never know, right? ) |

Hi Sammy,
please use this Build and do it again but before you load Jamstix, please open the jamstix.ini file in the jamstix folder and add the line:
Logging=1
anywhere in the [General] section. This will cause Jamstix to output debug information to a file called 'rzdlog.txt' in the Jamstix folder. After Jamstix loads and causes the error, please send me that file.

i have sent u the rzdlog, or tried to at least--let me inform u that under usual circumstances i am able to hide my miniscule computer knowledge, but it's being tested now im using the internet on one computer and cubase on another, which complicates matters--so let me know if i was successful in my attempt to send u the rzdlog |

I'll just post it here:
Did you ever manually move any Jamstix folders? Can you confirm that the Jamstix folder has 'accents','samples' and 'rhythms' subfolders with files in each of them?
