Ralph,
Like sammy24 everything was working just fine, and I downloaded version 1.02F (have not tried G yet)
I started a new project- inserted audioM8 track 1- Jamstix track 2 - clicked jam with audio then -"invalid pointer operation out of range"
"ui update error access ...." flashed under velocity indicator and Sonar crashed (closed) No illegal operation BS just closed. This happened 3 times in a row.
Then I tried with an exsisting Jamstick project, and as soon as I tried to move any jamstix slider or click a tab(recording to a midi track only), Sonar crashed (closed).

If you still have the issue with 1.02H, please try this version. Also, should you get an error in the black status box underneath the velocity slider, let me know what it said this time.

Is this becoming an official one?
I´m insecure which new .dll is the up-to-date one.
I´m on 1.02G and except for some GUI-Issues in Cubase SX, my Jamstix is running fine. |

No, it's not official, yet.
In fact, we are switching to a new versioning scheme where inofficial Builds released in the forum will start with X for experimental to make things a bit easier. Also, important X releases that we want everyone to try out if they are inclined will be announced properly in the general forum. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Ralph L,
We fixed Sammy's issue with the 'UI Update Error', which was caused by the 'accents' folder inside of the Jamstix folder having been moved. Sammy moved the folder back to its proper place and the problem was fixed. This may also be what is causing your problem. Please check that your jamstix folder has an 'accents' folder with files in it.
The next update will be able to detect this situation and provide a proper message _________________ Ralph Zeuner

No all Jamstix files are in the default location C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins\jamstix- and seems fine.
With jamstix102H I had no crashes but something strange with the AudioInSmoothing slider, in the GUI the slider would not set a value below 568 in the jamstix.ini no matter what. I tried closing, rebooting, loading old projects, new from blank, even directly editing jamstix.ini with Jamsticks closed and starting a new project from scratch AudioInSmoothing would be set to -AudioInSmoothing=568 I could set it higher. (just odd- but at 568 much to slow for my needs)
jamstixX2-1 seems stable on my setup, I did get 1 invalid pointer, but to be honest I have not spent alot of time with x2-1(still have to work).
By the way the laptop is for testing before we move Jamsticks to our production machine, as we have done with all VSTs because of Sonars crappy VTS support.
I hope the feedback helps. |

Do you still have that with X2-1? Also, the minimum smoothing depends on your latency setting, could you check that?

NO Problems with X2-1 so far but I have not logged any real time with it. Just made sure I could open old and start new jamstix sessions.
current jamstix.ini AudioInSmoothing=97 (fine for me)
I run 4.0 ms latency with my Firepod and it seems to work well with the laptop setup. Most often I run Jamsticks sessions with 4 VSTs running-
audioM8, Jamstix, Guitar Rig (with a basic setup) and glaceverb(I highly recommend this FREE Convolution reverb http://www.dasample.com/index.php?show=glaceverb)
With this setup my CPU usage hovers at 40%-50% and memory use is at 60%
Note: Others wishing to use this setup should use Guitar Rig with caution as it can easly overload the system! |
