hi people.
sorry to impose but i really am new to the whole vst thing.
i just downloaded jamstix demo to test out before purchase and i cant get it working. i use cakewalk guitar tracks pro, installed everything correctly and can see audiom8 / jamstix in the audio-effects list.
so the thing is this.......if i have recorded say an audio guitar part into a track and then click on the audio-effects tab and click on audiom8 then i get a basic jamstix front screen with a load presets options and a level meter. there are no presets in the preset box and when applied to the track i dont get either the jamstix drums or even the pre recorded audio guitar. jsut goes silent
so do i have to literally play in live and jamstix plays along, or can i apply jamstix to a prerecorded track???
sorry to sound so lame, sorry for any spelling mistakes and boy does my grammar suck too i just hope you can understand what i am trying to say
any help would be much appreciated
thanks in advance

AFAIK, Guitar Tracks Pro only supports effect plugins, not instrument plugins (VSTi). That's why can get audioM8 to show up (it's just an effect plugin to feed audio analysis data into Jamstix) but Jamstix itself.
You need a VSTi/DXi-compliant host, such as Cakewalk Home Studio or Sonar, to run Jamstix.
By the way, you can always use the free MiniHost to get an idea of what Jamstix does. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Or you might try downloading Reaper, at www.Cockos.com
