Drum maps map an incoming midi note to a different outgoing (playing) not.
Let´s assume you have a drum sequence of different midi notes.
Sample player A plays the sequence back in one (expected) way.
Sample player B plays the sequence back in a different and unexpected way (because its drum instrumensts may be mapped to different notes by default).
To get the same results you can put a Drum map on Sample player B to play the sequence back as expected.
The good thing is you only have to build a drum map for a sample player once and use it again and again instead of editing all the notes by hand. |
