I'm a new user and have a question regarding muliple outs. I have read the forum pages up to page 7 (still reading the great info from the past) and have yet to see the answer to my question.
I know that you can assign different drums to different outputs via the output page but the only way I can add seperate EQ, reverb, etc. to each induvidual drum track is to add another instance of Jamstix for each drum part to Sonar Home Studio 4 XL. Is this the proper way of doing things or am I missing out on a basic usage of Cakewalk? This process adds extra cpu usage which I would like to bypass if possible.
I have been using Jammer Pro to create the drum midis for a while now using the included Edirol VSC for my basic needs. It is very programmable but I like the Jamstix possibilities. The drum sounds alone are the main reason I purchased Jamstix and all of the drumkits. Not to mention the advantage of upgrading to version 2 for free.
Another thing, I usually start my songs on the second measure just to prevent any eroneous hits prior the song actually starting. Is there any way in the arranger page to do this?
Great drumming program BTW. And the creator's and user's support is top notch. Hail to the chief! |

I'm not sure if HS4XL supports multiple plugin outputs like its big brother Sonar does. That's the feature you need to do what you want. You might want to post a message in the Cakewalk forums to get help on that.

I'd suggest you just mute the first bar in the arranger. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
