Those indicate the a tom or snare accent is playing on that bar. Removing the accent(s) will remove that dot.

Right-click on the desired tom check box, hold the mouse button down and slide the mouse left or right to change the color.

Thanks,

Also; im tweaking the rhythm page as im stucturing the sequence in the sequencer. Once im happy with a bar i lock it and move on. Theres a few time where a splash is triggered(on an unlocked bar), although i have not selected any cymbal and change crash is not ticked.>>>any ideas how to sort this out?

Thanks

Move the 'Normal' slider in the cymbal panel all the way left to eliminate the cymbal.

Use an automation envelope on 'PowerPlay' to do this or use 'Always Ride' in the rhythm tab.

Will doing either of these result in the same thing; or will power play give more velocity? Ive selected always ride but its not very powerful.(i cant find where to draw automation on the ride(bfd ride)

Yes, load as BFD mapping in the Jamstix mapping tab to do that.

Thanks. Its a shame that i dont use the included percussion. Maybe you could create another mapping for the new BFD Percussion expansion?

In the arrangement page, fills and snare/tom riffs are added. How can i disable this so that jamstix responds to my selections only? >>If this is possible, will this option adjustment affect the future instances of jamstix that i open?

Thanks

Am slowly getting there Smile

Move the accentuation slider in the jam tab all the way left to suppress snare and tom accents. In manual mode you need to move the snare and tom accent sliders in the rhythm tab all the way left instead.

This only affects the current instance.

Than=ts great.

So how do i effectively use power ride? Ive selected it and currently i have hihats, kick and snare groove thing going on.

Basically im tring to mimic a jazzy, blues, rock drum groover. Ive run into two issues though:

1. ---- the snare pattern is on 2+4 with a '16 note before' on each one. These 16note before arent as swingy as what im tring to copy. Ive adjusted the pocket but that just shifts the whole snare pattern and not the indiviual hits within it.

2. Im tring to effectively use the cymbal hit in counterpoint with the hihats and ride to copy the original drumloop. They are all being played at once in counterpoint....Im completely stuck how to go about using all 3 at once...Any ideas?

Thanks

Turn on 'Shuffle' in the jam tab to get the swing.

I don't understand the question. Please re-phrase.

Jamstix uses the hihat settings for the ride as well as the hihat.
