When I copied the jamstix.dll into the MTS folder, I pretty much copied the entire folder, including the arrangements, rhythms, etc., into the MTS folder. So I deleted all of that and kept just the jamstix.dll in there.....it seems to have worked.

WHen I hit play though, its giving me an error saying Buffer overrun (Audio Out) Probably using too much CPU Power.

I have a simple laptop with 512 RAM. No programs are open. The demo seemed to work fine, but now I'm having a problem? How can I check this, and fix it?

Increasing voice reduction in the mappings tab will reduce CPU usage. You may also have disk thrashing due to your relatively small RAM. Try checking 'Low Mem' in the mapping tab to fix that.

That didnt seem to change anything except for now, the volume of the drumming is really really low. The other tracks are playing at a normal volume, but I can barely hear the drums..

Make sure the velocity slider in Jamstix is not too low, leading to low volume. If you continue to have this problem, please send me the file rzdlog.txt file from the Jamstix folder to support[at]rayzoon.com referencing this thread.

well ralph, i'm not sure if I'm doing anything right anymore. The only thing I did get working was the keyword jam, and i dont even remember how i did it. I'm not sure exactly how to approach using jamstix. WHat do I do? i guess i want to just play guitar and let jamstix play along for starters. so i tried, but I can't get the audioM8 to work either. the needle of audioM8 moves in sync when i play, but in jamstix, the red LED is not glowing when I play, and jamstix doesnt play along with me when I start recording.

ps. i emailed you my rzdlog.txt file

Make sure you have the jam mode set to 'Jam With Audio' at the bottom of Jamstix. As you play guitar, watch the velocity slider and adjust Jamstix as needed to match your play style and volume. There is a free jam quick start PDF in the manual folder that has detailed info on this.

Also make sure the box next to 'Jam Start/Stop' in the jam tab is NOT checked (at least for now).

Let me know if you continue to have trouble with this.

Ok, I think I got the audioM8 working. I originally had both audioM8 and jamstix inserted on the same wav file i was recording. I took jamstix off of the wav file, and inserted it in its own .mid track.....then it seemed to work. I noticed though that once i hit record, the velocity slider is stuck at zero, no matter how hard I play. I locked it at a higher position and I then heard the snare and the drumming come to life.....but is jamstix still interacting with my playing when its locked?

Can you take a screenshot of the jam tab at that moment in time and send it to me?

Not in audio jam mode, where reacting to volume is the only thing Jamstix can do. In MIDI jam mode there is more analysis beyond volume.
