Hi, have a new computer, Cubase VST, a non-powered mixer, 4 in/outs and have managed to record 2 acoustic guitar tracks, bass, vocals and my rhythm track (sandpaper!). These are all audio tracks, not midi. Do not have a keyboard or a drum machine, but want to add drums to future recordings. Can a person buy Jamstix and have it work with audio tracks only? Sorry to be such a newbie, but I don't really understand it all yet. Also have a very small space to work in. thanks for any advice.
The recording computer is not online, I'm on the old "hack" here, would want to send away for an actual disk, not a download.
Thanks!
Christine. |

Hi, Christine, and welcome to the board.
Yes, Jamstix can be used with audio tracks and even without any input. Jamstix has a built-in rhythm generator and arranger and you can have any mix of automated and manual arranging that fits your workflow. I would suggest you download the Jamstix demo and try it out. If you have any questions or issues with it, we're here to help.
If you decide to buy Jamstix at some point, contact us for the potential of a CD/DVD delivery. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thank you Ralph. Unfortunately the old hack computer here doesn't have enough ram to download the demo. I may have to get the new computer online. Was hoping never to put it online due to viruses etc., but there seems to be lots of great stuff available for home studio that needs to be downloaded, might take the plunge.
Thanks!

The RAM on the Internet computer shouldn't matter. You can download the demo file to your Internet computer and then burn it to CD or flash drive and copy it onto the new computer that way. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| It came up during the installation and said it couldn't finish the installation because I need to have at least 514 megabytes of ram. I may try it at work and then bring it home on a disk. Thanks! Christine. |
