Hi Support,
I'm struggling a bit with Live Loops.
I have 2 live loops, one going from bar 1 to 4 and the other one going from bar 5 to 8. When I start Cubase without Live Loops enabled the cursor in the Jamstix arranger follows the Cubase cursor nicely. But when I enable Live Loops, Jamstix keeps playing only the first bar of Live Loop 1, it never goes beyond the first bar, nor will it switch to loop 2 when I press the right midi note.
This happens in all modes, with or without the arranger enabled. I have tried it inside and outside of Cubase and also on 2 different systems, but all with the same result. I have used Jamstix 1850 and 1856.
There must be something obvious that I am missing...
Thanks in advance, Lucky |

Please check 'Time Sig Changes' in the output tab and see if it helps. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

That did the trick, I had it disabled on both systems.
I am not doing any Tim Sig changes by the way...
Thanks again for the quick solution!

It's an odd bug on some systems but the 'Time Sig Changes' is a good-enough work-around for now.
Jamstix 2 will have a new synch engine. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| I'm counting the days to JS2, can't wait to jam along with it after reading all the cool features that it is going to have. I am especially anguish to see all the workflow improvements. Thanks again. |

Maybe I have asked this before, but I just experienced it today again so here is my question concerning JS2 and Live Loops:
Will it be possible to force JS2 to go to the next loop, even if it hasn't finished playing the whole loop?
The reason behind this is the following: I like having a loop of 8 bars with a fill at bar 8. But while jamming I sometimes (read: often!) loose track of whether I have played the whole loop or not, but I always do know/feel when to go to the next loop. It would be cool if you could trigger JS2 to go to the next loop after it has finished(!) playing the current bar, even if it is only halfway through the loop. (Maybe this could be an optional behaviour.)
Alternatively you could have loops of only 1 bar long, but still hear a fill every 8 bars while being in the same loop. When it switches loops it should reset the fill counter. |
