In Sonar 4 I can get Jamstix (demo) and BFD to work perfectly together, but only in BFD "Stereo" mode. When I choose BFD "ALL" it seems to start out okay in loading etc, but then the BFD screen just disappears and no sound when I try to play. Crying or Very sad

Any suggestions?

By the way, the fix in the new demo totally cleared up the Sonar VST wrapper problem ... no more BSOD fears now! Very Happy

Make sure you have at least 9 outputs selected in the mapping tab of Jamstix because BFD All has more outputs than BFD Stereo. If you change the number in Jamstix, you need to close and re-open Sonar for the change to take effect.

Glad to hear that! Unfortunately it meant the loss of tooltips for now.

Sent this to BFD forum but makes more sense to address it here ...

Thanks ... BFD ALL works fine now when outputs are set to 9 or more.

But another little problem exists. The hi hats are panned to the left (listener's perspective) and the pan adjuster in BFD is inoperative when being run by Jamstix. Actually I think it is off whenever BFD is in "ALL" mode.

Is there a way to pan instruments within Jamstix? Embarassed Apologies ahead of time if it is as obvious as setting the outputs turned out to be once I knew what to look for ... OR any idea how to get BFD to allow panning in ALL mode? Of course I could export all the midi, load BFD as a DXi and edit in each BFD output track. But it would be nice to hear things in proper placement while working with grooves etc

That's another reason why DirectiXer beats Cakewalk VST:

With DirectiXer you can make the Jamstix outputs mono so you can easily pan the BFD channels as needed.

Also, with DirectiXer you can drive BFD outside of Jamstix using MIDI-Out.
