Welcome soultime
I'll give it a go.
My tip is " Increase the volume on the closed Hi-Hats" _________________ john-studio64

I agree with the last bit, the closed Hi-Hats are too soft, whereas the open ones plus the cymbals are generally too loud. Are the samples normalized?
Here are three other tips:
* Get rid of the ambience on the kick! It makes the low too muddy, especially if you put a groovy bass besides it.
* Leave the complexity value low, to get a more steady beat. Otherwise you might loose focus by all the continues changes.
* Set the start bar on the arranger to 0, making it a bit more intuitive to work with in Manual Mode.
Good luck with this great little program. I used it this weekend on two gigs within the Dutch art world and it was rocking as usual! People kept asking, how does this work? Are you controlling the beat? Who is making all these groovy changes?
