|
|
Hi all
Im trying Reaper and so far like it alot. but am having trouble getting jamstix to send midi to bfd on another track. ie Jamstix on track one and BFD on track 2. I seem to have problems with jamstix generating midi data, as when I try to 'record output(midi)' on jastix track, it records nothing. Im using Jamstix 1.7 - without the data setup file, which I shouldnt need if im not using Jamstix samples should I?
Does anyone have any ideas please?
Cheers all.

How do you record VSTi MIDI output in Reaper? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Ralph,
Having another crack at this now, I uninstalled Jamstix, then installed the original jamstix-setup.exe only, then opened Reaper and pressed record and it worked without touching anything in jamstix or reaper, then I updated to 1.6 and it worked straight way again, then updated to 1.7 and opened reaper and got nothing! Is there something I need to do in 1.7? |

Make sure you have 'Enable MIDI Output' checked in the 'Output' tab.
I'm checking this out and have also contacted Justin from Cockos. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Justin at Cockos figured it out!
Jamstix wasn't properly reporting the size of the MIDI data it was sending. Apparently most hosts don't bother with that field so it worked just fine in Cubase, Sonar etc. but not in REAPER, which actually uses that field.
I just released Beta 1856 which fixes this problem. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
