Hi Ralph
I have just loaded "Stage Custom"Map and received the 1 Sound missing.

I did a search on this, and found One, but it was in German.
I'm using 1.7

Please run the 1.7 updater, it will install the missing samples. Note the directory shown by the updater at the end, that's where it will put the samples just in case you have a non-standard configuration. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I checked again and mistook the sample name.
The "Snare Rim Shot 14" Metal Remo" is not part of the official Jamstix kits at this time. It may have been referred to in an old mapping.
Runnign the 1.71 updater should update all mappings so that this error message does no longer occur but you can also easily fix such errors by setting the rimshot sound of the affected mapping to the snare rimshot stage custom sound and saving the mapping.
Hope this helps! _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Ralph, I have a similar problem. As you know, I've just ported over to a new DAW. Managed to move the JS samples to a separate partition and get some project up and running but I have one which says it cant find the 14" Stage Custom - Rimshop sample. I've checked and it's there but I think I've sussed it. On the mapping tab, there is no "Key" assignment for this sound. Maybe it got lost when I ported the project over or maybe it wasn't used anyway but the error is resulting from the fact I updated to the latest version of JS?
Anyway, is there a way of finding the standard key mappings for the various JS sounds? If so, I can just correct this one mapping, save the project and avoid getting the error message?
Thanks,
Tim. |

Hi Tim,
There is a 'Snare Rimshot' item in the sound list of the mapping tab. Simply select any of your existing rimshot samples and save the mapping. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
