Hi, i'm considering purchasing Jamstix, I use BFD at the moment, but would like to combine the 2 as i am hearing such praise over at the kvr forums!!
But can i use my own midi tracks that i create in cubase and then add jamstix to make it more interesting, Humanized ect......
I play Technical Death metal , Polyrhtyms and the such!!!
Cheers for any help given!! |

Hi Jim!
Why don´t you just try out the Demo and see if Jamstix fits your needs?
Trying out in this respect is much more useful than describing how it works.
I´m sure you´ll be more than pleased with the results you get, though Jamstix´approach is a bit different than you might expect.
Of course Jamstix can play back your Midi drum tracks like any dumb drum module, but its strength is generating its own very human- sounding grooves.
However, if you plan to alter and humanize your pre-existing midi grooves you´d have to import them into JS. But at the moment you can only import bar after bar, so this is quite time consuming.
On the other hand you can use any existing Midi or Audio track to drive JS and make it generate its own grooves.
I hope my description doesn´t confuse you....
Just try it out! |
