Hey everyone,
I spent my 1st couple of hours with Jamstix and I am having a tuff time working with free jam mode. (this is the only mode I tried up to this point) I opened an audio track in Cubase and added the M8 to the effect insert. When I play the guitar I can see the meter on the M8 moving in time with me, although the needle does not move all that much.
Then I clicked on "jam with audio" so it was lit green in the jam page
Then the manual says, "to adjust the trim knob" at the bottom right hand corner on the jam page so the velocity slider moves when I play the guitar at my hardest. Well, no matter how much I turn that knob up, the velocity slider does not move as I strum my guitar.
Anyway, I pushed play in cubase and Jamstix does start after a few beats. However, the drums are all over the place and does not seem to be in sync at all. I adjusted the "complexity" and "funkiness" sliders all the way left to keep things simple to just have a regular rock beat…….. that didn't help much.
I adjusted to cymbal slider so it would have a few crashes but they were all "choked" and sounded like crap.
I must be doing something wrong. Too many people have raved about this program and I can't imagine it does not work better than what I experienced tonight.
The manual is written pretty well and straightforward and I followed it step by step.....I think..
Any help is greatly appreciated.

With those two sliders all the way left and no 'exotic' choices made, you must get a simple 8th rock beat. Could you repeat this setup and then use 'Save Bank' in the preset menu of Cubase for Jamstix to save the state Jamstix is in to a FXB file and sent it to support[at]rayzoon.com?
Also, please send the files 'rzdlog.txt' and 'jamstix.ini' from the Jamstix folder.

Very odd! Is that with BFD or with internal sounds? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

It was with BFD sounds. And that may be the cymbol issue, because I think I had that isse with BFD.
I am totally new using drum software and have only had BFD a few weeks, so Jamstix and BFD are totally new to me _________________ Dell 3.0 GHZ Dedicated PC
