my problem is ....i downloaded the demo which i thought would give me a direct link to the program. Then i went to my start page and opened it from there and all it gave me was a quick user guide and a user manual.....and when i went back to the start page i couldnt select just the jamstix part of it....so my question is do i need to download the entire thing again and delete the old one. Or is there something that i am missing?

Jamstix is a VSTi plugin, which means you need a host to run it in (Cubase, Sonar, Tracktion, Live, FL Studio etc.)

A great free host to check out Jamstix is MiniHost:
http://www.tobybear.de/p_minihost.html
Load the 'jamstix demo.dll' into it and you're up and running.

You may want to go to www.kvraudio.com. You will find useful information on DAWs, hosts, plugins, architectures etc. and a searchable database for free software.
