Guys, don't know if you've heard but Digidesign just released a virtual drummer called Strike. I went on their website and listened to the demo beats but please go and listen for yourselves and tell me I'm not losing my hearing/mind. Doesn't each sound the same like if it was one kit that maybe some effects were added to change the color of the sounds? I still think Jamstix rocks more even though I haven't done anything in over 4-5 months since I relocated and am jonsing to get my stuff set up again. _________________ Pentium Dual Core 3.2GHz

I am itching to talk about some of the things we're doing with Jamstix 2 but it's just to early for that...
'Strike' looks like a great tool but it is still working off of 'clips' of drummers so you are in essence working with pre-recorded MIDI sequences but in a (likely) powerful and convenient way. With Jamstix 2 we are really attacking the issue of truly modeling the essence of styles and players. If it turns out as good as things look at this point, it will be very cool... _________________ Ralph Zeuner
