I just got the full Jamstix Jamboree package. Uninstalled the demo and installed everything last night. Next I installed the new beta version. I opened Reaper and located Jamstix. I cleared the cache and rescanned. It asked me if I wanted to install each of the addon packs and I did. I added a track then pulled Jamstix in. I armed the track. Next, I un-X'd the black speaker icon at the left end of the track. When I did that, things started loading with message in a white bar that reads: JAMSTIX:Loading cymbal, yada, yada.
When it gets to JAMSTIX: Loading Snare Rimshot - 14" Stage Custom Unmuffled... it stops loading and just sits there. I've tried rebooting and clearing the system tray of all unnecessary processes. I've tried adding M8. I really don't know what to do next to fix this. Also, I have the DEP stuff set according to the website.
Thanks for any help.

Yes. I got it on August 1 from the link in the General forum 1.7 Beta 4. I guess I should have tried it out with 1.6 before I loaded 1.7. I'm not sure what happened. The problem happened on my AMD Desktop with a 2 ghz 64-bit Athelon Processor and a gig of dual core ram. Later, I installed the original 1.6 on my laptop which is a 1.7 ghz pentium with 2 gigs of ram. That one is now working. I was having problems with sound artifacts and the laptop with the demo version. So, I thought I better go to the faster machine. I may end up having to uninstall everything and start over. I'll wait and see what Ralph says.
Thanks,

OK. Well, I never did hear back on this. I uninstalled everything and installed 1.6...no beta versions. Everything is now working. I guess I'll stick with 1.6 for now.

I don't know how I missed this thread but I did, sorry!
I recommend you save a copy of your current jamstix.dll (maybe call it jamstix.dll.16). Now download Beta 5 and install it. See if you get any problems with that one. If you do, you can easily revert back to 1.6 by just renaming jamstix.dll to jamstix.dll.17b5 or so and renaming the old one.
In other words, you can switch back and forth by just renaming DLLs. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

OK. Thanks. That sounds like a good method. That won't be hard at all. I'll try beta 5. I was just so jazzed to get it working.
