Hi, I have Sonar 5.2 PE and am trying to route the midi output from Jamstix to DFHS. I have both on the synth rack and can get them to work seperately. I can also get DFHS to work within Jamstix but I would like the midi output to work. I have it setup pretty much the same way I have it set up in Cubase SX3 but no sound comes out of the DFHS tracks.

I noticed the triggers in DFHS are not triggering so I'm lead to believe the midi output is not making it to DFHS. Any Sonar 5 gurus out there that can help? Thanks

- Right-click on Jamstix in the synth rack and make sure 'Enable MIDI output' is checked

- set the input of ther DFHS MIDI track to 'Jamstix 1 - MIDI Omni'

Dang... I did that... Some reason in the synth rack, the box for that won't stay checked. I have no idea why. Since I'm stuck with Sonar I figured I would try doing some work in it but Sonar seems to not work out for me like Cubase does... Bah...

Thanks though...

That's very odd. Couldn't hurt to post in the Sonar forum, they are very helpful there.

Hey monkeymanx

DId u find a solution that would work for you?

How about exporting/saving your work in JS as midi and importing it to DFHS midi track?

I tried doing that and I only got a portion of my midi from JS.

Is there anything I'm doing wrong or need to do in addition?

I got it to work. I clicked something about rescanning the vst plugins and it worked after a restart and reload of Jamstix.

I still don't like Sonar though. I try to use it but just feel frustration instead of creative drive when using it. I will probably stick with Cubase unless something revolutionary comes out.
