|
|
I have a song that has one of those "build up" fills where the snare and the kick are played simultaneously in eight notes
(so it's>> 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and etc.) with the duration being 4 bars.
The start of the fill has low velocity and as it approaches the 4th bar, the fill gets louder along the way (for both the snare and the kick).
Right now, the only way i see it possible to do this sort of fill is to have a rhythm slot per bar, each slot having exclusive velocity settings to get the "build up" effect.
Is there an easier way to this, preferably a method where i don't have to take up extra rhythm slots? |

You can do this:
1) build one rhythm that has kick and snare checked in the quarter and eighth boxes, all at maximum velocity
2) Assign that rhythm to all 4 bars
3) Add an automation envelope in your host for the 'Velocity' parameter of Jamstix. Draw a curve over the four bars starting low and ending at the desired max velocity _________________ Ralph Zeuner
