|
|
| Is it possible to change from hi hat to ride on the fly using a midi note to trigger it? It would be great to flip on "always ride" at any point much like you can trigger a fill using a midi note. I know power play will do this but I thought this would be another option that could be used without having to use velocity to trigger the ride. |

Yes, you can do that with the 'Always Ride' automation parameter. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Are you familiar with VST automation? Personally I only know SX so I'm not sure how much of this translates. Have a look at this:
Simply click on the word 'Velocity' and select 'Always Ride' from the list. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| I have messed around with the vst control in Cubase with moderate luck. What I think would be a nice feature..perhaps in Jamstix 2... is to use a midi keyboard to control the ride in real time like we can do with the fill ,ending and into parameters option normally used for live loops. While we are jamming with a keyboard just assign a note number to always ride and when we hit it jamstix goes to always ride...perhaps when we hit another note jamstix goes to hats again. |

An advanced key control mode is something we are working on for JS2. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

hey john, had the same idea and then stumbled upon Phrazor-free to download (at the moment, is pre-release) and the latest beta even supports multi-out vstis... its essentially a vst chainer/sequencer-in-one but with a handy feature that lets you link midi cc's to any available automation parameter!

hope it suits your needs! |
