hi there -

I just downloaded / installed the jamstix and data files (plus the add-ons). The 2 installs seemed to go fine. I then copied the license file to the jamstix directory.
When I try to load it in Cubase SL, all I see is the "audioM8" 'control' - I have not yet been able to configure it so that I can actually see/use the GUI. There was no prompt to register or activate.
I also noticed (during the 2nd install) that there was NO mention at all re: the "jamstix_license.txt" file and the need to place a copy in the jamstix directory -- could you please verify the format for that file - do I use the exact file that was sent to me, or just the *****license***** part?

All the installation values were left at their defaults. The data is properly loaded into the "samples" directory. I have uninstalled (via control panel) and reinstalled - same results ...
??? any thoughts please
tia

So what you are saying is that you can see 'audioM8' in Cubase but not 'Jamstix' as an available plugin? If so, please do this:

a) If you are using XP SP2, check your DEP settings as described here:
http://www.rayzoon.com/depfix.html

b) Go to the 'Plugin Device' dialog in Cubase and see if Jamstix is listed as unloadable due to the DEP issue. If so, manually recheck it and see if it loads now in Cubase.

Let me know if this doesn't help.

thanks for the speedy reply Ralph -
sadly my system already had those settings - taking a chance I selected the 2nd option (turn on all except my selections) and excluded Cubase SL.exe - same result.

I forget one thing from last night tho -- In the midst of trying to get jamstix to show up, I opened up Wavelabs and it immediately prompted me whether I wanted to activate the Jamstix plugin(s) ... I said no at the time thinking that all was OK and I would activate inside Cubase. I have not been able to replicate that either.

Any other suggestions?

thanksAgain
