Hi All -

I've got an audio track with AudioM8 as an insert. The audio is out of tempo with the Cubase SX's tempo track. I've got a rhythm set up, and then I hit play in Cubase SX.

Clearly JS is drumming to the tempo track, as expected.

What I can't figure out is what JS is doing with the audio info, since it is "out of tempo". Maybe it's using the volume in the audio track to trigger certain JS features (like power mode when loud, reduction when soft, etc.)?

Thanks for any insight Very Happy

Yes, all audioM8 transmits is volume analysis data.

To follow up if I could please, Ralph: If an audio track (w/ audioM8 inserted) and a MIDI track have different velocity/loudness profiles, which will JS give priority to (meaning, will it drum loud when the audio gets loud even though MIDI stays soft, or the other way around, or neither)?

Thanks -

Jamstix has a little switch at the bottom of its interface. If it is set to 'Jam With MIDI' then it listens to the MIDI input, if it's on 'Jam With Audio' it will listen at its audio input or (if present) to audioM8.

Thank you, Ralph. At some level I think I knew that, but I'm a little overwhelmed trying to learn two new VST instruments at once (JS, and LM-4 MK II). Embarassed

I appreciate your patience Very Happy
