Hi All -
Well, I've read through the 1.6 User's manual twice, played with JS. I'm blown away by what an amazing program this is (I suspect Zauni is actually a lead scientist in the artificial intelligence field who's secret love is music!). Nevertheless, I find myself without much of a clue how to set up the rhythm that I'd like for my song.
It's a 1-bar repeat in 4/4, and I'm just looking to set up two rhythm elements:
1) Hi hat: Closing, Struck at Beat 1, then closing over the first two eighth notes ("One And");
: Closed, one fast triplet that ENDS just as the 3rd beat starts
2) Wood blocks: at the 2nd beat;
: at the 6th eighth note (i.e., the "AND" of Beat 3, aka the upbeat of Beat 3).
How would you do this in JS?
Thanks  _________________ Alexis

This might do what you described. The open hat is on the one and gets closed on the 1/and. The triplet starts on the 2/and and ends on the 3.
For the woodblock I am 'abusing' Tom 1 by selecting a fitting sound (i.e. Jam Block Hi) in the mapping tab for Tom 1.
Hope this helps. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks, Ralph, this is exactly the kind of answer I can learn from. I'll look it over during the next few days and post back.
Thank you so much _________________ Alexis

I got a chance to program this, Thank, Zauni.
Can I follow up with one question, please?
The "3let-16" sound has only 2 beats of the triplet sounding. Is there a way to get a full triplet sounding?
BTW, that was really cool, mapping the tom to Jam Block... it opened up a whole new universe to me - thanks _________________ Alexis

It works in conjunction with the 'Closed' on the 3. Together they form a 16th triplet. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks, Zauni. I had the reverb on too long for the first hi hat, and it was washing out the 1st beat of the triplets... _________________ Alexis
