Hi All,

Firstly, am new to Jamstix and to PC recording in general.

I have just brought Jamstix (and Drum Pak #1) after having played with the demo version within REAPER without any problems, however with the full version of Jamstix, REAPER is hanging as Jamstix comes up.

In details, I'm using REAPER 0.962, pressing ctrl-t to insert a new track, arming the track for record and adding Jamstix to the FX chain for the track. The Jamstix UI comes up (and sometimes I get the "loading kick - 22 stage custom" message, sometimes I don't) and everything just hangs.

I've tried clearing the REAPER cache and re-scanning the VSTi folder, but that hasn't helped.

I've tried using my installation of Jamstix in Minihost and it works fine.

PC is AMD Athlon 1800+, 512MB RAM, Windows XP home with SP2.

Anyone seen this before, or any suggestions on how to proceed?

Hi Ralph,

Thanks for the very fast reply. I've tried the beta and it's better - Jamstix now comes up about one in 3 times. Will send the log to support ASAP.

Since you're using SP2, please check your DEP settings as well:

Thanks Ralph, I'd already checked DEP settings and DEP was already only on for essential Windows programs and services.

The latest Beta 1829 should fix this. Let me know if it doesn't.
