Ralph
I know this subject has been asked for before, I couldn't find a recent thread to 'tack' this on to... So I'm posting 'fresh'.
Having never had much luck at all using the fills that come with Jamstix, I like some others, feel they are all too busy.. way to busy... and drawn out.
I would be really just damm perfect to have a little window like we have on the Rythym page for snare and kick... but it would be exclusively for writing our own custom fills.
We would be able to import Jamstix fills into here and just 'trim off what we don't want and save them... or we could make up our own from scratch.
We would have access to velocity (just like the other boxes) and for snare fills we would have independant access to rims shot and drags or bounces.
What do you think?

Jamstix 2 will have an advanced fill generator with more fine-control and options.
In the meantime, try using the fill options to simplify and shorten the fills. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Paspallum, not sure you have tried a small apllication I´ve made called Jamstix Accent Creator, which is in downloads page. It´s not exactly what you mean, but has a grid based graphical interface and can simplify creating accents and fills from scratch. I made this for my own use, but Ralph was kind to put it in the Downloads section. I find myself creating fills all the time using the app and it´s much easier to me. You can edit velocities, use rimshots, drags and bounces for snare directly in the screen, save the fills automatically in the correct folder and load them later for further edits.
Hope it helps. |

I use Jam Accent Creator by ACabreira for creating fills and find that it is an excellent, easy to use program.
many thanks to Acabreira for sharing his work |

Acabreira. Thanks for posting the app you took the time to make. I would like to try to use it and have downloaded it, but where do I go from here. Does it open from within Jamstyx are what. Sorry to seem stupid but I am lost on what to do next.
Thanks

Russelkeys, all you got to do is run the application called ´Jamstix Accent Creator.exe´, it does not run run from inside JS. In the .zip there´s a file called ´readme.txt´ which has the basic directions for you to use the app, written by a non-english speaker (me), so forgive any mistakes
You also need Micorosft .NET Framework Version 2.0 which you can find here:

Any questions, feel free to post or send me a PM.
Hope it helps. |

MIDI-to-RAF is not 100% confirmed at this time but likely for JS2. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Thanks for your reply. Once I downloaded and installed the windows file now it will open. Thanks for posting this app for all of us to use. Looks like a wonderful app. I will do some experimenting to understand how to use it now that I can open it. |
