|
|
The Acid Pro 6.0a update was just released today.
When I added another MIDI track to the sample "Vast Horizon.acd" project in Acid Pro 6.0a and set it to Jamstix 1.61 I get:
"Access violation at address 11153385 in module 'jamstix.dll'. Read of address 00000218."
Although if I add a jamstix softsynth to a new project I do not get this error, and the synchronization is working so this is certainly much better.

I've seen the support staff ask for rzdlog.txt, so here are the
last three lines that appear in the file at the time of the access violation:
Creating GUI...
AT Logic...
Line
After I dismiss the access violation message and shutdown Acid, the final lines in the file are:
Creating GUI...
AT Logic...
Line-breaking hints...
Hint parameters setup...

Anyone else with 6.0a see this behavior? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

To be clear, here are some more specific repro steps (from memory):
1) Upgrade to Acid Pro 6.0a
2) Open Acid and load "Vast Horizon.acd".
3) Scroll down the track view to the empty area after the last track.
4) Right-click on the empty area and choose Add MIDI track.
5) On the new track header, click on the keyboard icon and select "Insert Soft Synth".
6) Choose jamstix from the VSTi chooser list.
I have Jamstix 1.61 with Drum packs 1 and 2 installed.
Thanks,

Zauni,
Sorry to say, the beta fails the same way:
"Access violation at address 0C4F3C05 in module 'jamstix.dll'. Read of address 00000218"
Here are the exact repro steps:
1) Install Acid Pro 6.0a
2) Open the demo project "Vast Horizon.acd"
3) In the track view, scroll down to expose the empty area after Track 18.
4) Right-click in the empty area and select "Insert MIDI Track".
5) Left-click on the keyboard icon on the row of icons in the top left of the track header.
6) Select "Insert Soft Synth..."
7) Select Jamstix from the VSTi chooser list.
8) Watch Jamstix load all of its sound data.
9) Click on the new track or track header (Track 19).
10) See the access violation message.
At least one other user on Sony's Acid Pro forum was able to reproduce this.
I also get the same error if I add Jamstix as a softsynth prior to creating the MIDI track. As soon as I select the track after setting its output to the Jamstix softsyth I see the error.
Thanks,
Randy |

That does it!
Thanks for the fix.
