I'll have a tinkle around and see if I can set up an Ultra map for extra cymbals, etc for BFD in Jamstix, then figure out how to trigger the different cymbals

I'll post back sometime sunday or early next week to let you know if I need any help

Thanks m8

Very Happy

When loading BFD ALL, which outputs are mono and which are stereo---Is it the same config as BFD? >I t would be nice if when u load BFD ALL through JS, the names of the tracks appeared on the output vsti's channels(kick IN,kick OUT, OH, snare TOP,etc)

Also, ive tried using GURU with JS, but cubase and GURU crash when tring to do so........Does Guru work with JS?

Also noted by superdude, is the fact Jamstix pans the kit pieces automatically when inserted as an instrument inside Jamstix.

Is there a way to disable this, so we can pan as normal in the host sequencer, as is the case when running BFD without Jamstix? - all panning controls are disabled in BFD, and you pan inside the host.

Not sure if I fully understand but you should be using the 'StereoOutputs=0' line in the jamstix.ini if you are subhosting BFD All in JS so you get all mono outputs.

We mean that BFD kit pieces get panned by default in Jamstix, and that shouldn't be the case. They should be panned to the center, then we can pan them individually in our hosts.

That's weird. Jamstix doesn't do any panning for sub-hosted signals. Can you elaborate a bit on what makes you think JS is panning the subhosted BFD signal?

SUPERDUDE is the chap to ask m8. Just noting this on his behalf, as he reported on the KVR fxpansion boards. He just forgot to include that in his last post here, so I posted Wink

Thanks Andrewwright67:)SmileSmile

Yea, this panning issue happens when i use BFD ALL through JS. >BFD STEREO is fine, but most of the sounds of BFD ALL are automatically hard panned.????. I selected 14 output channels in jamstix, loaded BFD ALL, (which is not all mono channels;i think the OH's, PZ'S,ROOM channels are stereo)

I dont understand why this panning is happening---Please help

Has anyone else successfully used BFD ALL through JS(regards to control over panning), or should i just use BFD Stereo to create the drum track in JS.?

The problem is, i love the compression that Jamstix gives me on the BFD sounds and would prefer to use BFD ALL in Jamstix......There must be someone out there using it without these issues.....

Im using the 1.6 Jamstix version btw, newest BFD version,Cubase sx3 btw

BFD ALL is made up of mono and Stereo channels...>Is this compatable with Jamstix, or are JS's channels Just mono or Stereo???>>>>

Most sounds are hard panned either left or right, which would make me think that Jamstix is using stereo channel when it should be mono<<<or other way round?

The Mono/Stereo combo is a problem for JS as it can currently only do one or the other. Are you using the 'StereoOutputs=0' switch in your ini file? With it you should be able to control panning in the host easily.

Hi,

Thanks for that ill try it.....

Ive just noticed something elese in regards to Bfd in JS:

I load Jamstix, select the BFD ALL mapping, load the BFD ALL dll, load up a saved BFD kit/program....> and the sounds are coming out of the right speaker more than the left; I worked out that BFD ALL's panning(normally disabled for BFD ALL) is working backwards. ie. L pan = R panning. Is this a Jamstix issue, or is it a BFD issue??

cheers:)

I am confused. There is no panning in BFD ALL as far as I can see. How are you panning the sounds?

For some reason panning controls in bfd ARE working ;but their working back to front. ie. L = R
(they should be disabled in BFD ALL,allowing the user to use panning in the host audio tracks)

Ive tried Bfd Stereo and the panning is fine btw. L=L R=R .For some reason, when i load up a saved kit in BFD ALL, this panning thing happens: Are many people successfully using BFD ALL and Jamstix?

Think its probably a BFD bug......Either that or i dont know what.....Thanks anyway....
