Ok...I'm having some problems...user error I'm sure and not with the program...that's why I put this here and not in the tech support section.

Let's say hypothetically I have everything arranged the way that I want it. Now what do I do? Do I record it to an audio track or record it to a MIDI track? At this point I would take either one, but I can't figure out how to do either one. I'm using Cubase SX3 and here is what I've done.

I've gone as far as settting Jamstix output to "Allow MIDI output" and created a new MIDI track in Cubase, can't figure out how to route the output to the MIDI track, either from the Sends of Jamstix to the MIDI track...the track isn't an option. I've beat my head in trying to figure that out...so I've tried other things as well:

I have also tried to insert an Audio Track thinking that there may be some way to route the output of Jamstix to the audio track but can't seem to figure out how to make that work either.

I've searched the forums for many possible word combinations to figure this out, but either the answers I'm looking for aren't here or I'm not searching right. I've also read the manual over and over again thinking that I'm missing something, but can't find the answer there either.

I'm thinking that the answer must be easy to those that know..but I'm lost. Is this type of problem common because Jamstix in all reality is still in it's infancy and the documentation isn't up to speed...or am I just lame? I can easily accept and recognize the later! Very Happy

"Accept and recognize the latter!" Wink
Simplest way to do it in SX is to set the INPUT of an empty midi track to "Jamstix", arm the track and hit record - voila !
Then set JS to "mute brain" and route the OUTPUT of the new track to JS to be able to hear it.
If your drum track is perfect, you can (but don't have to) realtime bounce it to get an audio file. This will save you some CPU since you can now unload JS.
Hope that helps,
Rhino

Robitaille20,
you're welcome.
Hope it'll work for you.
If you still got questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Cheers, Rhino

btw, who cares about spelling ? I'm not a native speaker either.
