I just bought Jamstix a few days ago. I cannot believe how it has helped me streamline my workflow within Sonar V PE!! I'm totally impressed at how easiy it now is to make great drum tracks in half the time!

It took only about 20 short minutes to hash out this metal track demo using Jamstix and BFD!!! All drum samples are done with BFD, with Jamstix controlling the feet and hands!!

ROCK ON \M/

Great track! Can't believe you had JS for just a few days. The track shows you have an excellent handle on it.

Btw, love that organ...

This is a message for you (everyone else on this forum has probably heard my opinion on this 10 times!)

BFD is an excellant choice as a drum module. (It is what I use). It can sound intimate and soft or it can sound HUGE!

I (like you) mainly use Jamstix as a beat generator and pattern arranger.
I LOVE the BFD kick and TOMS Their Hihats are just beautiful.

But I think their snares let them down.

I ALWAYS use the Jamstix Snarepak snares. ALWAYS!
They sound perfect combined with the the BFD kit... they are more detailed, crisper and play more dynamics than the BFD snares.

Try this out... you won't be dissapointed! There are a few really agressive snares in the Snarepak.... perfect for loud rock or metal.

The Snarepak is well priced too... it won't break the bank!

I think that once you have heard the BFD kit with Jamstic Snarepak snares... you won't be able to go back to BFD snares?

I totally agree with you paspallum, love that stage custom (both muffled and unmuffled), slingerland, rockstar... oh! and the little popcorn and little squealer for funk... No doubt, best snares of the market!

Greetings

Thanks for the great feedback on the snare paks!! I 'll have to check them out. I haven't been too preturbed by the snares in BFD. I have the XFL and DLX expansions, and there are some tasty snares in there as well. I do like the Chad Smith snare they have, as well as the Pork Pies.

The snare pak is worth a look!! Thanks!!!
