I´d really like to help, but as an SX3 user I simply have forgotten how things were laid out in SX1. Oh well... |

Hi,
A little thing that maybe someone already raise, is about the way to mute jamstix when I'm reading my arrangement. It's very important for me (and I'm sure I'm not alone) to mute any kind of tracks easily. Whatever if I mute a drum track using DFHS or any midi tracks using Halion, vst synths and of course the audio ones, the things works. To do the same with jamstix I have always to bring up the window, select the jam tab and toggle the «Mute brain». Maybe I'm missing something but muting my midi track has no result.
Thanks,

Muting the Jamstix MIDI track has no effect because unlike DFHS and Halion, Jamstix does not (usually) play the data in the MIDI track but generates its own.
Most hosts generate instrument tracks for VSTi and the mute function there will also work with Jamstix. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi Ralph,
Well I use 8 outputs for jamstix! So mute/unmute 8 tracks is not better. I may link the tracks in SX and in that way mute 1 = mute all, but all the faders are also link. So, that way still not good anyway.
Thanks!
Rene
PS: I got the brushpack 2 days ago! Very very happy.... |

Hi,
When I lock the mapping section, each time I close/reopen jamstix's window, the status change to unlock. Is it normal?
Cheers,

Hi,
I have a request about the use of a mapping file.
If I save a project in SX3 having a mapping file matching DFHS and more over having the midi-out only enabled; when I reopen the project, the text label didn't show which mapping is in use. It could be usefull when opening a saved project to know that since I'm using also some custom mapping files and I have to write by hand in Cubsase's notepad these informations.

Hi all,
I have a new problem, i just got a new sound card which actually supports ASIO , but when using the ASIO driver in Cubase SX2.2 the M8audio plugin stops working:( the card is a Terratec phase22.
it works fine with the Cubase full duplex driver using a sound blaster card, i guess it could be something simple just can't think what... any ideas ?

Ok, i found if i insert the M8audio plug to the input channel then it works with the guitar, but i can't actually hear the guitar's output, but it does work.
seems more like a soundcard issue.
What i was doing before was inserting the M8 plug into an empty audio track, it worked with external inputs (guitar) or VST's, but it won't work like this anymore.

I am a newb, just got Jamstix 2 up and running and it seems to be working great. The only issue I am having is that when I try to have it jam with audio I get no output from the Jamstix. I inserted the M8 into an effect channel, the bass being the strongest, and could see the program working along with the parts but couldn't get the drums to play along through my monitors. Is there a routing step that I am missing?
Please help, I'd really like to replace my hand configured drum tracks.

Where is the power knob in JS2 on average in this setup? _________________ Ralph Zeuner
