Hi,
I have found that jamstix is a great tool for jamming live on ninjam
audio is ogg vorbis compressed, but the sound is good
more than one ninjam jammer has been tricked !
you can find ninjam site servers at :
test.ninjam.com:2049
test.ninjam.com:2050
test.ninjam.com:2051
test.ninjam.com:2052
the ninjam site : http://www.ninjam.com
french servers : www.zikinf.com:2049 (official) and www.zikinf.com:2050
(both one channel only) |

Hi
I tried Ninjam last night with my guitar, and it was great fun.
How do you play Jamstix on Ninjam?

hi,
currently the ninjam client does not support vst /vsti plugins, so it requires a multiple outputs soundcard and a cable (hard wiring)
it is better to use a digital connection for avoiding analogic/ digital conversion
you can load Jamstix into a light host like Minihost or Chainer
if your soundcard asio driver does not support multi-clients, use asio4all for ninjam and your soundcard asio driver for your host
don't forget to ask others to pan left your left channel and to pan right your right channel for stereo sound (you can use your channels names for that )
PS
you can install a private server on your pc (test with "localhost" as server address if your router does not allow you to join your own pc with its wan ip)
you will have to open the ninjam server port (2049 by default) to allow others ninjam users connecting to your server

Hi Drummix
Thanks for the information.
I've got an M-Audiophile 24/96, but I don't know if it can be set up as you describe.
Does this mean that you can you jam with using other VSTs as well as Jamstix?

using Chainer, you can load as many vst /vstis plugins you want
for audio input , load an "input" module in first slot
on my edirol FA 66 :
- for Chainer, i use outputs 3/4 , and i connect them to my line inputs (2-1 /2-2) with a cable
- for ninjam , i use 2 channels with 2-1 /2-2 as inputs and 1/2 as outputs |

for your soundcard, you can try this (it requires a digital cable) :
Chainer audio inputs : analogic
Chainer audio outputs : digital
ninjam inputs : digital
ninjam outputs : analogic |
