Hi everyone,

I am new to PC based recording so please bear with me.

I am using Cubase SL and have successfully recorded both midi and audio.

I purchased Jamstix yesterday and it's absolutely fantastic but I have two questions please:

(1) Once I have my drum track arranged and saved how do I record it in cubase?

(2) Can I use the drum sounds from Stormbreaks (or Kontact) as an external source? I've located the Stormbreakz DLL file but get no sounds when I play a preset rhythm in JS.

Any help would be greatfully received.

Thanks.

Take care.

Terry

Hi

The arrangement is saved within Jamstix as part of your track, so provided you have heard your Jamstix arrangement play, the drum sounds should be included when you render the track (in other words, save to a .wav file).

I'm not sure about Stormbreakz, but something you could try is to switch to Manual Jam, plug in a midi keyboard (if you have one) and see if you can play any of the sounds. If this works it is probably a mapping issue.

Hope that helps!
