I've got my first Jamstix-tune up and running in Sonar 4 PE but I'd like to use some EQ and compression on the kick and maybe on the snare. Is it possible to re-direct just the kick to a seperate output end the snare also, so I can assign various effects only to those sounds? Or do I have to open new instances of Jamstix that ONLY play kick and ONLY play snare? (I'm completely new to this kind of stuff, so....) What's the easiest way to get this done?

That is possible! Just go to the mapping tab in Jamstix and choose the snare from the list. Then you can route it to any VSTi output in your host. Jamstix by default has 4 outputs. That should do for snare and kick! route the snare to 3 and the kick to 4 e.g.! In your mixer you then can put eq and stuff on the signals. Hope that helped.

Yes, it works great! (Took me a LONG time before I noticed and found the outputslider...) I'm having BIG FUN just getting my drums mixed right! Smile I put the kick and the snare on a seperate output and it works like a charm. Next time I'll also redirect the toms. Didn't notice yet that indeed Jamstix has already 4 outputs...

Another thing I like is that you can use the Mapping tab as a mixer too for sounds on the same output! Just raise or lower the volume and the ambiance (for instance) of a specific sound to finetune everything even more, change the pan with a click, etc. etc. The possibilities are endless! Smile I never ever had this freedom with MIDI-drums before. Smile
