|
|
Hi Ralph, I have a little problem with jamstix 1.42 and cubase sx2 in manual jam. When I press play in cubase I listen a strange noise (goooong!!! ) and I have to press stop. It doesn´t happen with free jam or keyword jam. I have installed all of you kits (brush, dp1 and dp2), Do you know why it happens?
Thank you very much. |

Could you send me the CPR to support at rayzoon.com? Also, please send the rzdlog.txt file from the Jamstix folder. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Your MIDI 01 track has input and output both set to Jamstix. In 'Manual Jam' this leads to a MIDI feedback loop where the output notes are immediately received back as input and played and so forth. Change the input to something other than Jamstix and all will be fine. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi Ralph, now the performing is right, but..... I should set jamstix in midi in to record midi information in a midi channel, I´m I wrong? If I set another midi in option but jamtix I can´t record anything.
Thank you again for your quick reply. |

There is no point in recording the JS MIDI output unless you plan on removing JS from the project. In that case, add a second track with input=Jamstix but output=NOT jamstix and record there. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Fixed! One more question Ralph, is there any way to create a midi file and save it as .raf or .rrf files and use them as accents or rythms?
Thanks again. |

You can import MID files as rhythms via the IMPORT button in the rhythm tab but you cannot import MID files as fills. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

i had this problem before and as you say ralph, it was input and output being j/s. were you aware that if you save a project(in sl2) that has had a midi track recorded with a j/s rhythm, the next time you open the project that midi track will default to j/s for input and output(even when no input was selected at point of save).
cheers

Ralph, in jamstix 2, Will we have a midi-to-fill (raf, rrf) feature? I think this would be a big improvemet for this wonderful software. I´ve uninstalled my BFD when I bought brushpack and dp2, best snares on the planet (and kicks too!!!!)
Thanks |

Thanks for the nice word, Prosodio! We are considering a MID-to-RAF function for JS2. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Not sure what to say, that's a Cubase issue which we have no control over. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
