sorry about the dumb question...but I cannot figure out how to load the new drumpak into Jamstix. Can you load the entire set at once or do you have to do one drum at a time?
And are there any limitations using Sonar?
Thanks,

If I remember correctly you need to download the file, and unzip it into your Jamstix Addons folder. When you next start Jamstix it should detect the new .rxp file, and ask you if you want to install it.
Hope that helps!

| That's what I read in the directions, but I didn't have an addons folder under the Jamstix directory. So I added one and put the unzipped DrumPak file into it. But I didn't get any prompt asking if I wanted to load it. |

| Did you update your jamstix installation ? The addon folder was added in late september when the first Drumpack was released (Version 1.32 ???). |

Yes, what version is shown in the ABOUT tab of your Jamstix? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I figured out the problem. I was running one of the new beta versions. So I reinstalled version 1.42 and everything is fine now. The new drumpak loaded perfectly. (and sounds great btw!)
Thanks for your help.

Okay, so one more question about the drumpaks....
Now that I have DrumPak 2 installed will Jamstix automatically load with that entire set of drums? And to go back to the original set of sounds do I have to change each drum individually?
Thanks. |

No. If you want to use a DP2 kit, you must load a DP2 mapping in the mapping tab. They start with 'DrumPak #2...' in the name.
If you want to set a DP2 kit as your new default kit for startup, load the kit and then save it back as 'default.rdm'. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
